Akram Aid

Akram Aid is a registered UK Charity that operates on a 100% Donation Policy, supporting Local, National and International projects, helping the poor, vulnerable and needy. From assisting the local Foodbank, supplying food and clothes in the UK to providing family support, food parcels, clean water and more around the world. We are dedicated to helping all those in need.

Our journey started in October 2020 when a group of close friends and dedicated individuals, who over the years sacrificed their family time to assist in helping multiple charities by supporting, fundraising, cooking and volunteering – merged into a team of 5 and decided that they wanted to take their volunteering to the next level. We formed as “Akram Aid”  with the responsibilities of Trustees and to all continue as volunteers. Team members do not take any wages or remunerations as our intentions are to please Allah SWT.

*Akram is an arabic word, when translated means “Most Generous”.

Akram Aid received charity status from the UK Charity Commission on 16th August 2021 as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with Charity Registration number 1195519.

Our 100%

Donation Policy

We have a strict 100% Donation Policy and firmly believe that any amount you donate should go entirely to your chosen charitable cause. We try our utmost and go further by making the extra effort to ensure that all fees are covered via other means using our network of volunteers and guarantee that 100% of your donations are utilised on the project and its costs, for the cause you have selected. We do this for the sake of Allah SWT, knowing that we are ultimately accountable to the Almighty, the trustees strive to maintain transparency and accountability and ask for his Mercy & Compassion.

Our volunteers are vital in helping us to preserve our 100% Donation Policy. After the Almighty, our volunteers are the core driving force, dedicating their efforts to charitable causes.
