Masjid an Ultimate
Sadaqah Jariyah
Build a
Masjid
Build a Masjid for a community that has lost one due to a natural disaster or have never had one in their area. The first thing Allah’s Messenger ﷺ did after migrating to Madeenah was, build a masjid i.e. Masjid Quba.
The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad ﷺ, said: “Whoever builds a Masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
Build a Masjid
Masjid – More
than a place of worship
Masjid serves an important function in the Muslim community. It is not only a place of worship but for many communities, it acts as a centre of learning and coming together in events of happiness and sadness. Unfortunately, many Muslims simply do not have access to a local Masjid. Some communities have lost their Mosques due to conflict or a natural disaster, while many rural areas never had a Masjid. The long journey to the nearest mosque is often difficult or impossible for many of those in the greatest need – particularly the sick and elderly.
Akram Aid has dedicated teams of volunteers both in Africa and Pakistan. Over the years they have built numerous mosques and understands the needs of local communities when it comes to building mosques.
Virtues of
Building Mosques
“The Mosques of Allah shall be maintained only by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day. They perform Salah (prayer), and give Zakat (charity) and fear none but Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.” [at-Tawbah 9:18]
Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, when a person passes away, all his actions terminate but three…
- Knowledge through which people benefit
- Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity) – Building a Masjid is certainly from the acts of Sadaqah Jariyah
- and a pious child who makes Dua (supplication) for the parents
