Virtues of
Feeding People
Providing food to the hungry, especially when they are fasting, is an act of worship beloved to Allah. This act of ibadah leads to many other forms of worship, such as fostering love and friendship towards those who receive the food. Above all, feeding others during the holy month of Ramadan attracts Allah’s blessings, and this act becomes a means of entering Paradise.
The Prophet ﷺ said
“You will not enter Paradise until you truly believe, and you will not truly believe until you love one another.” [Narrated by Muslim]
By donating to the Ramadan Appeal, you will also support the practice of Muslims gathering together, creating a sense of community, and hopefully learning from righteous individuals. Moreover, you will earn rewards by assisting them in performing acts of worship, for which they gain strength by consuming the food you provide.
